Happy Monday!

Today’s message from God Calling -A.J. Russell, reminds us that we do not walk alone.

The message bids us to sing, and to allow our hearts to sing, as we go along.  No matter the path, how steep the climb, what obstacles may present themselves, we’re not walking alone.  The Bible tells us that in all things, God works for our good.  That’s reason enough to sing, right there.  When we praise the Lord, we’re not only filling ourselves with strength, we’re putting the enemy on notice that there’s a mighty army coming.  Oh, yes, a mighty army.  You see, God has also given His angels charge of us.  Remember what Jesus said?  “Don’t you think that I could call on my Father, and He would send me more than twelve legions of angels…?”  Yes, and then He also said, “Whatever you ask my Father in my Name, He will give you.”  We have everything Jesus has.  We are a mighty army.

This song goes perfectly with the message.  I hope you are as blessed by it as I am.  What a great way to start the week.  Thank you, Fearless BND for a beautiful rendition.

Say a Little Thank You for Those Angels

eden08122015

I chose Alabama’s Angels Among Us for today’s song.  I hope it blesses you as much as it does me.  It makes me want to thank them, and thank God for them.  I don’t even want to think about where I might be without them.

I need to say something here, regarding today’s post about angels.  I didn’t actually hear a voice whisper in my ear; that was just a figure of speech.  Just want to clear that up for those of you who might think I’m crazy.  I am, but only when I’m being “crazy.”

Lining Your Desires Up With God’s

eden08122015

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, reminds us that God uses our desires to accomplish His desires.

This is why we are gifted in different ways, talented in different areas, etc.  The Bible tells us that God gives us the desires of our hearts. (Psalm 37:4)  He uses those desires to accomplish His will and His desires for us.  He uses those desires to bless others through us.  Think about how many people doctors and nurses, policemen, firefighters, and rescue workers bless through their professions.  That’s just one example.  Look around, and you’ll find out that everybody has a call on their life; and they’re gifted and talented in ways that will empower them to answer it.

Here’s the key to lining up your desires with God’s:  “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”  (Col. 3:23)  Psalm 37:5 tells us to “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”  (KJV)  When we begin to look at different things that touch our hearts, ways in which we are gifted and talented, and things we seem to just have a knack for, we have a list of “desires.”  The next step is to seek ways to use them to bless others, and to serve the Lord/LORD with.  The next thing you know, your desires are lined up with God’s, and some awesome things can happen-in your life, and in the lives of others.

You Must Prepare to Feel the Abundance

eden08122015

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, reminds us that life can feel like painful preparation.  It really isn’t as painful as we like to make it out to be, though, most of the time.  This message ties in with Saturday’s message which speaks to us about cultivating and maintaining a feeling of plentiful supply; abundance of life, as well.

Cultivating this feeling is a matter of preparation.  Prepare to find the best deals.  Prepare to feast, rather than just eat.  I wrote about this in a previous post.  Little things can make big differences.  This feeling is brought to life and kept flowing through our lives when we seek the best in everything; whether it be in material things, or in others around us.  As we cultivate this feeling of blessing, rather than one of enduring the “curses” of living, we begin to find more and more blessing, feel more and more blessed, and become more and more blessing to others.

Seeking Fullness of Spirit

eden08122015

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, reminds us that spiritual fullness is required to empower us to overcome the world.  “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” (Matthew 5:6)

This is the scripture referenced by the message.  Here’s a direct quote from the message, that will links the message up with that scripture.  “Do not weigh your spirits down with the sins and sorrows of the world.  Only a Christ can do that and live.  Look for the loving, the true, the kindly, the brave in the many all around you.”  That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t care, or care for the world around us.  First, we must know where to draw the line.  Medical personnel practice preventative hygiene and take preventative measures.  As ministers sent out to a sick and hurting world, we need to do the same thing.  Preventative hygiene for us is that looking for the loving, true, kindly, brave, etc.  We find that, not only in the people all around us, but also in the rest of God’s creation.  We find those things also in God’s Word, and in commune with Him through prayer and praise.  When we make this a daily practice, seeking in every place we find ourselves, we can have that spiritual fullness throughout the day.

Thank You, Heavenly Father

eden08122015

Bonus song for the day.  Thank you, Heavenly Father, for your love, and for your love in my life.  Thank you to all the “Dads” in my life, for your counsel, your help, your time, your patience, and your peace, given to me just when I needed it most.  I love you much more than I will ever be able to express.  May your day today, and every day, be blessed with love and beauty, the joy and peace of the Lord.
