The Divine Giver

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, bids us to be kingly givers. I encourage you to read the message for yourselves at twolisteners.org, because it is an awesome one.

Jesus, in the message, says to us, “I am Love and Joy and Peace and Strength and Power and Healing and Humility and Patience.” -quoting directly from God Calling. We’re told that our nature must be the same as His. Then, also, our Lord says to us, “You live with Me, and then My Life accomplishes the miracle-change.” -again, quoting from God Calling.

I re-potted and nursed a plant for a co-worker once. I grew up with a grandmother who loved to put little gnomes in her garden, and I had found a couple of miniature gnomes in a store. I put one in with one of my potted plants. The other, I put in with my co-worker’s plant. I thought it might bring her a little joy. We so often miss the opportunity to elevate our giving to touching someone’s soul. And, we so often forget how great a difference giving a little bit of our own heart in our giving, can make in someone’s life. We must be as generous with our spirit as we are with everything else.

I had such an awesome Sunday worship last Sunday. I want to share this song with you. It is so beautiful, and touched me so deeply. This is exactly what this message is about. Paul Wilbur, thank you so much!

Walk In His Love

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, bids us to walk in God’s love. I learned that this is a two-fold thing. First, walk in the consciousness of God’s amazing love for you. This elevates spirit, heart, and mind. The elevation of those manifests itself in your body, your space(s), your entire life.

This is one of my favorite songs by Chris Qualala. I hope it blesses you as much as it does me.

It’s A Choice

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, bids us to rise into the realm of joy and appreciation; rather than stay “earthbound” in spirit by worry, burdensome toil, and poverty of spirit.

Poverty of spirit, or soul, is the greatest deciding factor regarding whether or not we appreciate our lives and have joy. Appreciation and joy are both choices. Each one elevates and enriches life. When we begin to appreciate the small things in our lives (morning coffee, peace within, those little moments of laughter and celebration, etc.), our lives begin to grow warmer and richer. I believe that it is when we realize and appreciate how truly blessed we are, God is able to bless us with more and more…and in more ways.

Fill Yourself With His Divinity

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, reminds us that we have a divine nature. The Holy Spirit within us helps us to remember this. Quoting directly from the message at twolisteners.org – “As you kneel in humble adoration I will tell you that when I took upon Me your humanity it was with the desire of raising that humanity to My Divinity.” I hope you’ll read the entire message; it is a powerful one.

In my Bible study on generational curses, I read a scripture that may help you to realize your divine nature; and step into it. It’s in Jeremiah 17:14 – “Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.” So, when Jesus said, “It is finished,” it was a done deal. You are God’s child, and have His divine nature (again) NOW! First, let that bring you the peace you need to walk through this world without fear. Then, the rest will follow. Let that elevate your thinking to creating peace, joy, beauty, true restfulness within, and round about. We truly can have Heaven here on Earth when we realize and step into that divine nature. Keeping that at the forefront involves keeping the LORD/Lord at the forefront of our living.

His Name – Still Powerful Today

eden08122015

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, reminds us that Jesus’ Name is still as powerful today as it was all those many years ago.

As I read the message, I thought about all the times I had to remind myself of that.  His Name is still as powerful today, as it was the day I got saved.  I thought about my grandmother, and her testimonies of Jesus and His love.  It occurred to me, that every time she spoke His Name to me, the power of that Name was drawing, guarding, and guiding me to where I am today.  Jesus said He would draw all men unto Himself when He is lifted up.  Nowadays, trusting in that wonderful Name is as natural as breathing.  It doesn’t occur to me to doubt; not for a second.  I know He’s got my back, no matter what may come along.

The message tells us that the consciousness of His Name can lift the mood, change the atmosphere, and elevate thought, attitude, conversation, and, even actions.  I’ve had countless experiences that went from “nothing goin’ on,” to “oh, wow, this is going to be fantastic!” -just because I heard that Name in a praise song, or because I, or someone else, spoke it.  Jesus…what a beautiful Name it is, indeed.  It has the power to stop you dead in your tracks, back you up just a little, and wrap you in it’s warmth, peace, and love.  Sometimes, that’s exactly what one needs, isn’t it?  It has the power to open doors, and to close them.  It has the power to raise a dead thing to life, or to lay something that should be dead and gone to rest…and finally set you free from it.

The message bids us to be ever conscious of His Name, breathing it.  It is, in the spirit, our very breath, I believe.  Here’s a challenge.  Find three or four songs about Jesus’ Name.  Play them back to back, and just bask in the joy, peace, power, and love that it brings with it.  Now, have a wonderful day!
