Ooh, Do Go On

Psalm 109 brings us today’s message. It’s another one written by King David. At first glance, I thought someone had taken dictation from me during one of my pity parties and “Get ’em, Jesus” cheers. You have to read the psalm for yourselves; it’s a long one. And, oh, when you find yourself in there, you’ll get a good laugh…I hope, anyway. I’m focusing on the last verse.

Finally, after all the “poor, poor, pitiful me, and God, you really need to kick their butts,” we get to where we need to be; finally. Psalm (109:30-31) “With my mouth I will give great thanks to the LORD; I will praise him in the midst of the throng. For he stands at the right hand of the needy one, to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.” Thank you, Jesus, that all I have to do is thank you and send up some praises in the midst of the throng, so they can see you standing next to me.

When I think about some of the excuses, reasons-logical, of course, and just plain whining episodes I’ve had…Ooh, do go on. No, go on and praise Him, because first, you know the devil hates that, and because you know everything in hell kind of goes into freeze frame and comes to a screeching halt. You know Jesus is going to get ’em; you know He is! So, just say thank you, and raise that hallelujah!
