Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, bids us to look for the joy in life. It is when we take joy in the Lord and His awesome love, that we become more and more able to find the many joys to be found in life.

That being said, I’ve been viciously attacked by some vile and cowardly people, who have all but destroyed my right breast with some lipolizer apps and stun gun type apparatuses. It is, at present, approximately two inches shorter than my left breast. That’s alright, because God doesn’t miss a thing, and there’s is such a thing as phyto-estrogen.

I was reminded of a friend who talked to me about having breast augmentation done. She said, “They use fat now, you know; and there are discount cosmetic surgical clinics too.” I said, “Oh boy, discount clinics, huh? I can just see you with great big breasts, and a little curly piggy tail.” ( I was joking, of course. They use your own body fat.) She looked at me and burst out laughing. “Oh, my God,” she said, “breast augmentation doesn’t affect your hair!” I got the joy, joy, joy….LOL I love you , Jesus!!!!!

Fear Not! Rather, Take My Heart!

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, reminds us that fear is a real temptation; an unclean spirit, actually.  We are bid to attack it with the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God.

As I’m studying about generational curses, this particular thing comes to the forefront time and time again.  As children, we fear the reproach of our parents, the rejection of our friends and peers, we fear things we don’t understand.  Then, depending on the parenting we had, the environment(s) we grew up in (addiction, co-dependency, abuse, etc.), that spirit of fear drives us.  We fear failure, fear emotional attachment, fear loss of control, and so many other things.  Sometimes, fear can actually cripple us.  There are people who actually cannot leave their homes and go outside, because they are so overwhelmed by fear.

As we learn to change the words we’ve heard and the ways we’ve handled things, and replace them with God’s Words and His ways, we can overcome those fears.  When we’re dealing with our children, doing this changes the entire scenario for that child.  Now, instead of creating a fearful and hesitant person, we are empowering a person with self-esteem and a sense of personal power over his/her world.

Staying In That Rest

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, bids us to come unto the Lord and rest…and to remain in that rest.  Quoting directly from the message: “Rest knows no fear.  Rest knows no want.  Rest is strong, sure.”

That tells me that when fear assails me, I must fight it.  When I feel lack of any kind, I must fight it.  I’m talking about lack within.  Lack of energy, lack of desire, lack of gratitude, etc.  Fear and lack go hand in hand.  “Rest is strong, sure.”  That means that I keep on keeping on, regardless of what it looks like, what someone says about it, what the general consensus may be, etc.  I stand on the Word of God.

No, we’re not to just go along lackidaisically.  But we don’t need to be immobilized by fear of anything.  We can be sure that God will provide, protect, lead, and guide us, etc.  We are to walk in that faith, not changing banners, but holding fast to the promises of God.  We are not moved, or motivated by fear.  We are held up, made strong, equipped by in the Word of God, and our faith in it.  The more readily we attack and fight fear and inner lack, the stronger faith becomes, and the more powerful the soul rest is.
