Spiritualism vs Walking in the Spirit

Today’s message from God Calling – A.J. Russell, warns us not to seek the wrong spirit.  You could end up being a host for that spirit, and much to your demise.

Isaiah 8:19 – “When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?”  The LORD spoke that through Isaiah.

Jesus warned us about impure or unclean spirits in Matthew 12:43 – 45 – “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it..”

Galatians 5:16 tells us to walk by THE Spirit (Holy Spirit) so that we won’t gratify the desires of the flesh.  Do you know the unclean and impure spirits work through our flesh just like the Holy Spirit works through our flesh.  The difference is that the Holy Spirit is for us, and the unclean spirits are against us.  The Holy Spirit brings us to freedom, and abundant life.  The unclean spirits bind us to death through fear, anger, guilt, shame, pain, sorrow, etc.

There’s a great deception about about bondages and addictions.  Most of us mistakenly believe the drugs, alcohol, illicit sex, work, yes, even church, are the crutches we use.  They are not.  The bondages/crutches are  actually the fears, the anger, the guilt, the shame, pain, sorrow, and etc.  These are the excuses we use to put the chains on; the chains being the drugs alcohol, etc.  These can only be broken off by the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit leads us to truths, gives us the courage to face it, and the strength to stand against the fear, anger, ets., and to walk in the newness of God’s truth; to walk in freedom from the bondages.

Quoting directly from the message: “Spiritualism is wrong. No man should ever be a medium for any spirit, other than Mine.”
